About the Trip

Sea & Adventures, Mar Y Aventuras and the Posada Luna Sol are excited to announce a new twist to our popular whale watching quick getaway trip.

This excursion that will not only introduce you to the natural beauty and wildlife of Baja but will also rejuvenate your spirit with daily yoga, meditation, dance and delicious, healthy cooking lessons.

View gray whales up close and personal, kayak through mangrove estuaries teaming with migratory birds, hike pristine, fine, white sand dunes and snorkel with the magnificent whale shark, the world's largest fish, which feeds on plankton.

As well you'll have the option to join professional instructors as they lead you through body enhancement activities such as yoga, meditation, dance and delicious and healthy cooking to launch you into a balanced lifestyle of mind, body and spirit. You'll have the opportunity both in La Paz and at camp to participate in morning and evening yoga/meditation classes, dance and inter-active cooking classes where you'll learn to make nutritious yet delicious recipes to take home with you.

We introduce registered nurse, Emily Davis, as wellness leader of this trip, offering dance and nutritious cooking classes. Anusara Yoga instructors, Susie Walby and Anna Ourusoff and Intuitive Mind Meditation instructor, Becca Gaughan bring years of experience to enhance the overall wellness nature of this trip. Their goal is to create a fun, active and spiritually fulfilling week where our guests learn new healthy lifestyle practices to obtain an overall feeling of wellness they can take home with them.

Join us on this journey in obtaining wellness among Baja's wildlife and spectacular surroundings of sea, sun and desert.

Itinerary

Day 1
(Feb 7)
Arrive La Paz, taxi transfer to Posada LunaSol, overnight hotel.
Day 2
(Feb 8)
Morning yoga and/or meditation, breakfast at hotel, 4-hour trip to snorkel with the whale sharks. Afternoon yoga and/or meditation and healthy cooking & dance lessons. Prepare and eat the dinner you've created using fresh, local ingredients. B/L/D
Days 3
(Feb 9)
Yoga and/or meditation and breakfast at hotel then transfer by vans to San Carlos (3 ½ hours) and by skiff to island beach camp (30-45 min), overnight whale watching beach camp. B/L/D
Day 4, 5
(Feb 10, 11)
Whale watching, sea kayaking, beach combing, dune hiking, yoga, meditation, dance and evening slide shows, overnight beach camp. B/L/D
Day 6
(Feb 12)
Depart whale watching beach camp after lunch by skiff to San Carlos, van transfer back to La Paz (3 hours), dinner on your own in La Paz, overnight hotel. B/L

Depart La Paz.

La Paz airport/hotel transfers, 2-5 nights hotel accommodation based on double occupancy, all meals and beverages (including cold Mexican beer and cocktail each evening) from breakfast day 2 through a farewell dinner in town the last evening of the trip, community camp equipment including kayaks and associated equipment, tents, motorized skiffs, captains, guides and crew/cooks.

Not included:

Airfare, meals on travel days to and from Baja, Loreto airport/hotel transfers, personal gear such as sleeping bags, pads, snorkel gear and wet suits (available for rent in Baja) and guide gratuities.
