Trip Description:

Don't miss the remote and scenic mountains of lower Baja California known as the Sierra de la Laguna depicted by deep boulder-filled canyons dotted with palms, hot springs and cool mountain streams. These dramatic canyons create the perfect setting for hiking and bicycling. Your camping accommodation is set under the shade of large mango and avocado trees in the small orchard of Huerta los Mangos run by Edgardo Cortes Nares of Baja Sierra Adventures who will be your guide.

The other part of your trip is spent kayaking and camping on Espiritu Santo Island where you can explore beautiful white sand beaches, canyons adorned with hanging fig trees, boulder up arroyos, and snorkel with friendly sea lions and tropical fish. Our flexible itinerary facilitates a variety of activities for a variety of interests from hiking to paddling to snorkeling and fishing. Motorized support skiffs provide a safe and luxurious sea kayaking excursion. Besides exploring the many hidden coves by kayak, other guided activities from our base camp include skiff excursions to nearby snorkeling "hot spots" including a sea lion rookery where we join these graceful creatures, swimming alongside them while enjoying their playful and curious nature first hand. • Day 1: Arrive La Paz. Overnight in hotel Posada LunaSol or arrive into Cabo and overnight hotel of your choice (not included).

• Day 2: You will be taken from La Paz or Cabo to Huerta los Mangos. Overnight Huerta los Mangos camp. B/L/D

• Days 3: Bicycling and Hiking in the canyons of the Sierra de la Laguna including a dip in hot springs or cool canyon pools. Visit a local ranch for lunch and learn the art of making home made tortillas. (optional). B/L/D

• Day 4: You will be taken to La Paz, arriving by 11AM and transfer by boat to the island of Espiritu Santo (1-2 hours) to begin your sea kayaking adventure. Lunch at camp, overnight sea kayak camp. B/L/D

• Day 5 & 6: Sea kayaking, snorkeling (including the friendly sea lions), hiking and fishing on Espiritu Santo Island. B/L/D

• Day 7: Return to La Paz after breakfast on the island. Overnight Posada LunaSol OR for those going to Cabo return to Cabo to hotel of your choice not included. B

• Day 8: Depart La Paz or Cabo.

Trips Include: Two nights hotel accommodation if flying into La Paz and one nights hotel accommodation if flying into Cabo based on double occupancy, meals and drinks (including purified water, soft drinks, beer and evening cocktail at sea kayak camp) as indicated above, transportation to and from camps, camp equipment, crew and guides.

Not Included: Airfare, airport-hotel transfers, hotel stays in Cabo, meals as noted above, personal sleeping bags, snorkel gear or wetsuits and guide gratuities. Recommended gratuity is 10% of trip cost from each guest.
